My work is dedicated to telling fairy-tale stories which represent the real lives of women in a metaphorical way.

I realised that I wanted to be a fine artist only five years ago. Before that, I was in a constant search for my own path, as no traditional one seemed to fit. I went from web design to psychology and then to illustration. This topic of self-exploration - being true to yourself even when it's hard and financially unstable, finding your unique way in the world, especially as a woman - is one of the main themes in my art.

I also became fascinated by folklore when I realised that it is actually telling us about real human struggles and wins, just in a metaphorical form. Both my Silly Wolf project and my painting series dedicated to fairy-tale heroines draw inspiration from stories, those well-known to many people, as well as stories created by me.

The Silly Wolf project is dedicated to our inner child, reminding us that we can have fun as adults and don’t need to take life so seriously all the time.

My painting series is about female paths - in fairy tales and in life. In it, I explore the kinds of stories that feature women as main characters or that celebrate those who in my opinion deserve a story of their own. Both projects are interconnected: the main heroine definitely needs a fun and slightly unhinged guide and helper - and that is exactly what Silly Wolf is.

Art helps me to cope with difficulties in life, to look at challenges from a different perspective, and to find a beautiful story even in harsh realities. And that is what I want to share with other people: that their real-life experiences and feelings should be appreciated and celebrated, and can be told as an exciting, magical story.
